CHOP was established in 1982 by the Mallios family. In the midst of turbulent times in the city of Cohoes, CHOP made its home on Remsen street and quickly provided a warm atmosphere in downtown. By the mid 80's Chop had become one of the premiere pizzerias in the area, offering a unique brand of pizza, hot oven subs, pasta dinners and salads. In 1996 the Mallios' retired and handed the CHOP over to their good friends, the Macy family. While carrying on the original tradition, the Macy's brought the 90's to town. Along wit it came the booming chicken wing industry and CHOP became known for their classic sauces and world famous bleu cheese dressing. Through the years, Chop has provided quality homemade food brought to your door at a reasonable price.
